Terms of Use of Press Releases

GENERAL

Press releases by Clarence William Page (and this individual/entity as otherwise identified) may be used in any publication.  The following stipulations apply and govern such use:
  1.  The press release must be used intact.
  2. Appearing with/at/upon each publication of the press release must be an appropriate statement of attirbution.
MEANINGS OF TERMS:
  1. "Intact" means that the person/entity(ies) publishing/republishing/performing the contents of the press release must publish/republish/perform verbatim all the written/audio/transcribed material contained between the symbols *** and ###.  Those symbols will appear in each article/audio/transcribed material offered for publication.  Usually the *** symbol will immediately precede the title of the article/audio/transcribed material and the symbol ### will immediately follow the final period of the final sentence.  Often the material will have the following code statement attached:  *** intact###.  This code simply means that the material contained between the *** and the ### is the intact material.
  2. "Attribution" means that the person(s)/entity(ies) publishing/republishing/performing the contents of the press release must include with/in/upon the published/republished/performed material a statement that clearly identifies the author of the material. As a minimum, such identification must include the full name of the author (i. e.) "Clarence William Page".  With respect to press releases posted on/to the internet, a hyperlink or other connecting electronic fetching address/tool may be published with/in/upon the published/republished/performed material.  Unless specifically forbidden within the release, any material owned and published by Clarence William Page may be freely linked (hyperlinked).
EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE:

  1. Exceptions to the "intact" rule:  Selected material(s) for quoting may be extracted from articles and published/republished/performed.  However, in every instance where such material(s) is/(are) extracted, the person(s)/entity(ies) extracting and publishing/republising/performing such material(s) must include a hyperlink to the source article/material(s).  In cases where the material is being published/republished/performed in a format/medium/media that makes hyperlinks impractical, the full Universal Resource Locator (URL) address of the source press release must be clearly listed/posted/published in/with/at/upon the published/republished/performed material(s).
  2. Insertion of "(sic)":  Other than the necessary insertion of the literary term "(sic)", no other change(s) may be made within/to/on/upon any publication/republication/performance of material(s) (press release[s] ) of author Clarence William Page.
